Keep the Lights On
Ancora is highly active in our home community, and we support lots of local initiatives and projects.
One program that’s really amazed us is Porchlight, a non-profit organization that works with the local homeless community and invests much of its efforts in creating long-term solutions.
We’re so impressed with Porchlight that we’ve created a special blend to help financially support their programs.
Art at Ancora
Creativity takes courage.

A vibrant community is a community that supports the arts. At Ancora, we proudly display the amazing works of local artists in our coffeehouses. Enjoy!

I'm more like the resourceful women who have made beautiful quilts from threadbare discarded clothing than I am like today's quilter
with access to yards of material at the fabric store. I use raw materials that were bound for the landfill before they were given a
second chance as part of a mosaic.
•A friend sadly dropped her grandmother's dinner plate.
•Three bowls fell from a shelf at The Kitchen Store.
•A tea cup broke during our visit to a Bed & Breakfast.
•A piece of Fiestaware cracked during shipping.
I enjoy the way the broken pieces which come to me by chance
influence my work. And, honest! I won't break anything purposely if
I'm invited into your home. But I am pretty klutzy . . . "
(No tears. If you break an heirloom, I can give the pieces a second
chance as a mosaic. No trash. Send your mishaps to me, not to the
landfill.)

I make impressionistic and spontaneous pieces of Madison. This show also focuses on some Sun oils and water colors that come from my appreciation of summer. Most all of my pieces are meant to be whimsical and fun! Enjoy.
